District 29 Website
Announcing the new District 29 website
As of 1/21/2010 I've implemented a new "official" website for the District. The old site has been suffering for awhile due to vulnerabilities in the old code. As many of you know, the site had been attacked several times over the past few months. Many people didn't use it and most of the promoters had a real hard time learning how to effectively use the site. Many promoters didn't ever join the site for that matter. Well, here's hoping for better year! I had heard that there was someone else who offered to do a new site for the district this year... but that's all I've heard up to now. No one has contacted me directly at this point. The old site was just too unpredictable to keep running, so I've gone ahead and updated it to a new blogging format. This website should be easy for promoters to post to without much technical savy. I am working on getting the content that should have been there all along. Whether the district will keep the site or go in a whole different direction, I don't know... However, I had to move forward with something for the time being to keep the old site from being attacked any further as it was comprimising one of our servers.
