u are correct that is rodney barr but i am not shure of the year. prob 83 or 84 though

Yep thats my buddy Rodney Barr. I think maybe thats a 1982 KX-125. Not sure, it could be '83. I had a Kaw in '84 and thats not it. Peace.

I'm guessing here too about the year, but I know that Rodney rode Yamahas in 82, 83, and 84, so this is sometime 1985 or later.
For the young guys out there, this was a HARD landing onto flat ground with old school supension. The picture does not do this jump justice.

I recognize this photo! (I am the photographer.) It brings back great memories of the Metrolina track . . . but I can't remember the exact year. (I always put the date and track name in the lower corner of my photos. So, if someone has the original 8x10, the date should be there.)

Sorry for the late reply -- haven't checked this site in a while. Glad to hear you still have photos I shot. I'm still shooting MX and still doing Cycle News write-ups, but haven't been to D-29 in many years. Lately I've going to Georgia and Tenn "Southern All-Stars MX Tour" events.
